Situation
Situated in the southwest of Mauritius, in 40 mn of the capital Port Louis and the airport, at the foot of the imposing Morne Mountain, the Indian Resort, complex hotelkeeper of 350 rooms is a real idyllic place for the customers. Conceived by the architect (J.F Koenig) all the rooms have a sight on the Indian Ocean. Nested in the heart of an immense 11 hectare park, Indian Resort declines in three universes, three styles of residence: Indian - Suite - Family.

Description
Indian Resort possesses 349 rooms among which 240 standard rooms (Marine and Indian), 106 rooms family and 3 suites.

Standard Room (50 m²)
Each of these rooms is carefully decorated in either navy style or Indian style with warm atmosphere and chosen furniture.
Their design show charm and a sure taste.
They all come with a terrace with a view over the ocean.
170 of them have a king size bed and 70 have twins.
The living-room corner has a couch that can be turned into an extra bed. They include a minibar, telephone, television (satellite, local, DVD), individual safe.
The bathroom includes bathtub, shower cabin, separated toilets and hair dryer.

Family Room (100 m²)
The family rooms are all located within the Mountain ambiance, by the Morne.
They are 2 communicating 50 m² bedrooms separated by a door.
Good taste and care in the design prevail.
The children bedroom, which can also be used as a living room, includes 2 single beds and a dressing. The other bedroom includes a king size bed, a mini bar, a dressing with individual safe, television (satellite, local and DVD), telephone.
The bathroom is located between the two bedrooms and includes bathtub, shower cabin, double washbasins, hair dryer, dressing with safe and separated toilets.

Suite (100 m²)
Three suites, approximatly 100 m² with a large 30 m² terrace are each decorated in different styles : Indian, Modern and Playful. Always the same care for a refined and authentic design : luxurous charm, quality linen, authentic furniture.
These suites include an entrance, a king size bed (extra single bed available) in the bedroom, a comfortable living room with sofa and armchair, a full bar, television (satellite, local and DVD), telephone.
The very large bathroom include bathtub, shower cabin, double washbasin, dressing with individual safe, hair dryer and separated toilets.

6 restaurants :

The Haseena offers Indian gastro cuisine in a subtle atmosphere.

La Pointe au Morne, the main restaurant, serves theme buffets (fisherman, asian, pharaoh, mixed grill,...)

The beach restaurant serves snacks and mixed grills at lunch and mostly sea food and shell fish for dinner, with a splendid view over the lagoon.

The Eden, also facing the ocean and located by the fitness center, offers light menues for lunch, delicatly put together by the Spa specialists. The Eden turns into a gastronomic table at night with its prestigious carte including cigar trolley and subtle liquors for a perfect final touch.

The Placetta is an italian restaurant which will make you feel Roman!

4 bars :

The Darukana, open from 9am till 11:30pm, enjoy delicious exotic cocktails or a quick snack or salad from noon to 5pm.

The Wine Bar, near the main restaurant and the orchestra, you may taste over 50 different wines from all over the world, from 6 to 10 pm, in a refined decor.

Pool lovers will appreciate the english bar The Victoria, by the reception, from 4 to 10:30pm.

The Kite Bar, near the sail club is the surfers spot and is perfect for a last evening drink under the stars...

Miniclub Kids
The Akuna-Mata-Ta Club and its african settings will satisfy anyone aged 3 to 12 within its 2500 m² from 9am to 9:30pm. Programs and activities are adjusted according to age around the swimming pool and the game kiosks. Adolescents may take part in sports tournaments, initiate themselves to different sports and visit the surroundings. Baby sitting upon request 24h/24h and with extra charge.

Iclusive Sports et leisure
Free sports : 3 swimming poolS, 4 lit tennis courts, volley ball, beach soccer, badmington, game of balls, archery, footing, touch rugby, aerobics, parlor games, table tennis, basket polo and water polo. At the sailing cabin : water skiing, dinghy, wind surf, pedalo, canoe, clear bottom boats, wakeboard, aquagym.

For extra fees
windsurf lessons and rental of the equipment, tennis lessons, diving center (PADI and CMAS), surf lessons, parascending, deep sea fishing, speed boat, banana rides, tube rides, scuba diving.
The leisure club, open 7 days a week, offers a variety of activities including the only bowling on the island (4 lanes), 2 golf practices, a cyber-cafe, a nightclub, slot machines, the Bowdi bar and karaoke and a restaurant.

4 conference air conditioned rooms located near the reception are available for any kind of business meetings or private receptions : The Prairie Room, 290m², allowing for some 250 people. The Riambel Room, 102 m² for approximatly 90 persons. The Savana and Grand Sand rooms, 30m² each, allow for 15 persons each. Secretarial services include photocopies, fax, internet and emailing.
