Les Chalets en Champagne, Guest House, is located in the heart of an evergreen forest adjoining the National Park, in the very lap of Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire, the highest mountain peak of Mauritius. It is the only forest on the island featuring a unique variety of endemic and indigenous trees struggling for survival amidst a luxuriant and exotic vegetation.
The Chalets are tropical in design & built entirely of exotic local timber, Tecoma & Cedar, as well as imported noble tecoma species such as Palissandre from Madagascar, Iroko from Ivory Coast, Daru Daru from Indonesia, Balau from Malaysia, Sapelli from Central Africa, Oak & Beech from America. The roof is made of Cedar shingles and the walls are are clad with semi-lof timber from South Africa while the furniture us made up mainly of Oak & Beech, Sapelli/Kiaat and used railway sleepers.

The Helipad
Les Chalets en Champagne, Guest House, also features a helipad named “The Traveller”, which makes it discreetly and conveniently accessible to tourists from the various parts of the island or from the airport.
